Momasphere, in partnership with Park Slope Parents Career Network, has created an event that is fresh and fun and will make it easy for you to connect for business and/or friendship. We'll provide a short checklist at the beginning of the event that will facilitate invaluable networking opportunities. It will streamline the process to efficiently connect you with other parents involved in areas of your interest and will inspire people to circulate. Please bring enough business cards to share, so that we can help you extend your reach. Let our wine expert guide you through the ABCs of wine tasting. Live music, delicious treats and great company will provide the perfect ambiance for relaxed mingling and networking.
The Muriel Guepin Gallery, a gorgeous newly renovated space on Bergen Street, exhibits works of exceptional quality by both emerging and more established artists, with a strong focus on artists who are Brooklyn based. The Gallery aims to make art more accessible, while allowing artists to increase their visibility and reach within their own community. The gallery was founded in December 2008 as Shop Art, and reopens this month into a new space that is able to exhibit larger pieces of art, as well as installations and sculptures. The larger space also allows for an ambitious new art program for both children and adults.
Brooklyn Oenology, with its headquarters in Brooklyn and winemaking on Long Island, offers art both inside and outside the bottle at an affordable price. The company prides itself on crafting its flavorful wines from grapes grown locally. In addition, Brooklyn Oenology incorporates the heart of the Brooklyn spirit into the label art, where they showcase contemporary works created by people who live and work here.
Nine Cakes began by selling mini, whimsical cupcakes at the Brooklyn Indie Market and other New York City craft and foodie fairs. Within their first year, they’ve received national recognition, including making the wedding cake for the 10th annual ‘TODAY Show Throws a Wedding.’ Building on a reputation for consistently fantastic cakes, cupcakes, and desserts, Betsy Thorleifson, baker and owner of Nine Cakes opened their first shop in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
The amazing raffle prizes include:
- The book "Make Your Contacts Count: Networking Know-how for Business and Career Success" by Anne Baber & Lynne Waymon
- Three delicious bottles of Brooklyn Oenology’s best wine
- Complimentary consultation & series of 3 Glycolic Acid Peel treatments from the Skin Specialty Group
- Three opportunities to pamper yourself compliments of Slope Suds: A Dermalogica Microzone Treatment, 1/2 hour massage and an Expert Brow Shaping
